About the Inventor
My name is Brian Conant and along with my wife Myra, we've invented the Flat-D (Flatulence Deodorizer). The following is a short story on the development and the background of the Flat-D.
Brian Conant (60) of Mililani, HI is the President/CEO of Flat-D Innovations, Inc.(a company that specializes in odor control). He is the developer and patent holder of the Flatulence Deodorizer, U.S. Patent #6,313,371. Brian is also employed by the United States Postal Service and has been for the past 34 years (7-years as a Letter Carrier and 27-years in a managerial position). In 2002 Brian retired from the Hawaii Army National Guard (Helicopter Aviation Unit) after serving 23.5 years. Brian's stint with the Army National Guard inspired the idea for the Flatulence Deodorizer, which serves as the foundation for Flat-D Innovations, Inc. During a simulated Chemical attack, Brian and few other soldiers were tasked to complete their mission, while wearing Chemical protective clothing. While wearing the clothing he released gas and noticed that he couldn't smell any odor nor could anyone else. After hearing a statement from his wife Myra, Brian began to think of a way to make the Flatulence Deodorizer idea into a reality. Experiments were conducted with samples of material, used in Chemical protective clothing. Our test conclusions came up with the idea of using a small pad instead of a complete pair of underwear. By creating a unisex / universal type pad we could offer the product to all types of people at a reasonable cost (as compared to the activated charcoal underwear, very expensive). Also by using a small pad he was able to reduce the heat significantly, that was created by the activated charcoal underwear. It also proved to be practical, economical and a more user friendly way to arrive at the same goal, which was to eliminate odor and embarrassment. The material was lightweight, breathable, washable, extremely thin (1/16 of an inch), flexible and didn't leave a residue on you clothing or skin. Through prototypes, experiments and refinement he developed the product we know of today. The Flatulence Deodorizer aka (Flat-D).
As an Inventor, Brian's most gratifying moments have been from the thousands of satisfied and relieved customers who feel that there is finally an answer to their problems.
* Brian has been married for 30 years, has three children and resides in Mililani, Hawaii.
*Brian is available for interviews: Contact Brian via email @ Brian@Flat-D.com or via V.P. Frank Morosky 1-866-354-0056 / email: Info@Flat-D.com
